Saturday Morning Tradition

Here at the Hasse house we have an unusual Saturday morning tradition. When we're home on Saturdays (which isn't very often!), Jim and the kids get up and watch hunting shows. No, not Saturday morning cartoons, but hunting shows. They're in the living room right now watching turkey hunting. Sometimes it's Elk, deer, or duck and with guns or bows. Elijah has learned how to make an Elk sound and they all practice their calls. It's quite funny. He and Rebekah are quite proficient with a pop gun and their favorite store is Cabela's. We are a truly Texan family. Except for one thing...it's the start of hunting season and we're home in Austin.

Previous years we've been at the ranch for the first weekend in November. You see, apparently the deer aren't as suspicious the first weekend in November as they are the rest of the year. Once the season has been broken, then the deer are on alert. We had some previous obligations that kept us home this weekend. So, we'll have to get our deer another time. I'm sure I'll have a picture to post when that event comes. Don't worry, it won't gross you out!

Have a good weekend!
