Soccer

Elijah just finished his first season of soccer. He's grown so much this season. Not just physically. Being on a soccer team has been a great experience for him. He has gained coordination, understands team work, has been toughened up a little, and has learned how to respond to a coach and take correction. He has a great little kid tan and he really looks like a little boy now.



I was looking over at him during church this morning and was struck with how old he really is. Elijah, my first-born, will complete his first year of school at the end of this month...WOW!

Elijah is younger than his teammates (by one year!) and played up a level this year. The team was short and our neighbor asked if Elijah wanted to join the team. So, we decided to go for it and it has been challenging but great for him.
