We had a Baby Shower for a dear friend at our home this past Saturday. Check out our home decked out in Baby stuff.
Oh, and many of you haven't seen my blue kitchen walls. I really like them. I wanted red, Jim wanted blue. I think we made a good choice. I'll find somewhere else to do my red walls!
My favorite part of the shower was the time set aside for prayer. My friend has had several miscarriages before this pregnancy, so this was truly a time of celebration. It was beautiful to see all the ladies come together to pray over the birth of this child and the life she is entering. I don't think there was a dry eye in the room!
Well, after the tears came the cake! I found this great pattern online at a lady's website. It was perfect for our party.
I have loved being able to use what I learned at my Wilton Cake Decorating class!!

Wow! Way to go on the cake! I'm impressed! :)
I love the blue kitchen. I want a blue living room one of these days!

I so recommend at least the first Wilton Class. You can often get a discount, so wait for one. Also, you can buy the class kit on ebay or Craig's list for cheaper than at the store some times. Unless you hit a 40-50% off sale. Woo-hoo! Glad you guys liked the cake. It was fun to make, sad to eat, but tasted yummy!
