So, it's been over a month since I've updated. Have you given up on me, yet? No, nothing terrible has happened to us. We've just been busy and I've spent my down times doing nothing. (which isn't much time!)
It's seems like we've been touring TX this summer! Not only are we exploring what Austin has to offer, but we've been to Dallas twice, are headed to Houston, and of course to Lake Buchanan and Port O'Connor!
We'll be spending the 4th of July with my parents out at the lake, which is finally back up to a normal level. Mom and Dad no longer have to mow the weeds in the field out front because the field has turned back into a lake! Yippee!!! Now, we wouldn't mind if it stopped raining for just a little while and let everyone around here dry out a little bit. Hasn't the rain been crazy this year? So much for Global warming!
This past weekend we were in Dallas for Gwen's wedding. For those who don't know Gwen, first-you're missing out!- she is the sister of my sister-in-law, Brenda. She married a great and handsome man named Cody and we look forward to really getting to know him. Elijah and Rebekah loved the wedding and reception afterward. I think Elijah went through his very first crush. He was enamored with Princess Bride Gwen. He even made me go with him to ask if he could dance with her at the reception. SOOOO CUTE! As we were driving back to the hotel, he kept saying some of the sweetest things, and they were all in deep thought. He was saying things like, "Gwen sure is pretty. I like her smile. She has a cute smile. When do I get to see her again?" Jim had to explain to Elijah that she was already taken, and he had missed her by one day. Elijah has no clue what Jim was talking about, but it was all very cute. That was all Friday night.
Then, on Saturday, we headed to see my old college roommate and her family. We had a good visit, and hopefully didn't pass along a little virus Elijah had caught. It was a nice relaxing afternoon and then a long drive home. We stopped and ate at Denny's in Temple (the kids eat free on Saturdays at Denny's!). This was one of our all night study spots during college. It was fun to stop there with all of our kids and reminisce about old times. Then we drove into Belton and drove around campus. The campus is as beautiful as always.
So, that's what happened this past weekend. I'll try to do better at keeping up with posting!

Missed you! Glad you're back!
I do not believe in global warming caused by human industry either. one volcano eruption makes our emmissions look like a speck.
drout has given way to mosquito havens. how can we complain. after a long drout, we needed the rain. I just wish I had planted a tree this spring. I was waiting for the fall but, now... hind sight is 20/40. ha ha. 20/40 cuz we still do not see correctly even when looking into the past.
