some things from today

Tonight we all gathered in Rebekah's room to pray before bed. The kids think of such interesting things to be thankful for. Rebekah thanked God for family, our house, her Cinderella doll, and seatbelts. Elijah thanked God for food, family and water. Not your usual list of thankful items, right?
Micah said a new word today: flower. Everything that is in the shape of a circle is a "ball." The momma kat and kittens in his little book are "mom" and "baby." Cute, huh?
We watched some neat flash videos online today. The link is www.kids4truth.com. Take some time to explore the website. They have a creation flash that we watch over and over again. It was my screen saver when I worked at Tivoli. Quite a conversation starter. Elijah wanted to watch the one about the Israelites. He watched the section about the plagues over and over. He seemed shocked that God would do such a thing. That led to a great conversation about the sovereignty of God in choosing whom He loves and whose heart He chooses to harden. Even kings (Pharoahs) can't make choices on their own. It also showed the greatness of God.
Take a look at the website if you get a chance.
Blessings to each of you!
